Jisoo and Ahn Bo-hyun’s agencies Confirm their Relationship, Encouraging Fans to Observe the Couple with Warmth
BLACKPINK’s Jisoo, 28, and South Korean actor Ahn Bo-hyun, 35, are officially in a relationship. Confirming the news on August 3rd, their respective talent agencies acknowledged their romance after reports surfaced about the two being seen together in Seoul. Dispatch, a South Korean publication, revealed that Jisoo and Ahn had recently initiated their relationship, leading the couple to make an official statement.
Ahn’s agency, FN Entertainment, stated, “The two are in a stage where they are getting to know each other slowly with good feelings. We would appreciate if you could watch the couple with a warm gaze.” Similarly, Jisoo’s agency, FG Entertainment, confirmed the relationship to other South Korean media outlets using the same statement. Fans of both artists are excited for this new chapter in their lives and are sending their best wishes to the couple.
The confirmation of Jisoo and Ahn’s relationship was a delightful surprise for fans, considering that South Korean stars generally keep their private lives away from the public eye. After the news became official, fans flooded the comments section on both stars’ Instagram accounts to express their joy and congratulate them on their newfound relationship. “JISOO MY GIRL CONGRATS ON YOUR DATING! u guys are both so fine,” one enthusiastic fan wrote on Jisoo’s Instagram.
Jisoo is renowned for being a member of BLACKPINK, which holds the distinction of being the most successful K-pop girl group of all time. Alongside her fellow group members Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa, BLACKPINK made their debut in 2016 and achieved immense fame two years later, securing three charting milestones on the Billboard charts. In 2019, they achieved another milestone by becoming the first K-pop girl group to headline Coachella, one of the most prestigious music festivals in the world.
Despite being the oldest member of BLACKPINK, Jisoo has made it clear that the group doesn’t have a designated leader. In 2017, she emphasized that the members have spent years training together and consider themselves close friends, which led to the decision not to have a leader within the group.
Jisoo’s new boyfriend, Ahn Bo-hyun, is also familiar with the entertainment industry, although he may not be as globally recognized as Jisoo. He has been active in South Korean acting since 2014 and has garnered attention for his roles in various drama shows, including “Itaewon Class,” “Yumi’s Cells,” and “See You in My 19th Life.” Ahn’s talent and dedication to his craft have earned him several acting awards, including the Excellence Award for Actor in an OTT Drama at the 2022 APAN Star Awards.
